Never make your website 100%
It’s a common mistake that most web entrepreneurs or startup do and that is they want their website to be 100% developed before launching it for the first time.
Everyone have great ideas and plans related to those ideas, but the question is should you develop your website 100% in the first phase itself and than launch it and start marketing, bring clients etc?
The answer is NO; a website should not be developed 100% in the first stage….what I am saying is make your business idea 100% but don’t make (develop) your website 100% when you are launching it for the first time.
Its like, you construct the building without thinking who will buy the flats / rooms. The better solution is you first construct the first floor and start selling it and when you find the buyer for first floor, move ahead and start building the other floors. In this way you are sure that people are accepting your ideas and there is a market for it.
So, if you are launching your websites business than keep these things in mind:-
a) First launch the pages which you think will be enough to get your idea online and user can read about it and respond to it.
b) Launch those pages and wait till the time you don’t feel you got what you are looking for or see what users have to say about your site.
c) Find, whether your idea will really work. If you find it will work than go ahead and launch the full site…but if you are not getting good response…wait for sometime and launch some more pages (but not 100%) and see the response.
d) Before even you start your website business….do the concrete calculation and see from where money will flow in.
e) Do a quick analysis or research work, ask people about your website and take suggestions.
f) Don’t be too ambitious….adding too many things, features in your website….will only increase your cost, work pressure. Launch only what is required.
g) Learn to bootstrap…because this is the best way you can learn how to do business and create a solid business foundation.
