Interview (Q&A Round)

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

There are lots of things happening around me which I would like to share with the outside world. Few years back many used to write about their daily happenings in a diary. May be we can call blogging an E-Diary, which can be read by others

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog, your idea and how it can benefit others?

Mine is a personal blog. Mostly it’s about my personal ramblings. My Idea is to share whatever is happening around me and I don’t know whether it benefits others. But some of my friends often quote that my blog is a source of inspiration for them. Even some of them started blogging after reading mine. I guess that’s the greatest success of my blog.

Q. What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

As I said before, it’s only about me and to share whatever is happening around me. I do blog about social issues and sports often.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

BlogSpot.  Some of my close friends suggested me to use blogger.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

I update my blog once in three days. So my target is a minimum of 10 posts per month. At one point of time I wanted to update my blog daily. But due to time constraints I couldn’t do it.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

Indiblogger is one of the sites which brought some traffic to my site. It helped me a lot during the initial stages to bring traffic. Face book and twitter are the other sites which helped me in driving traffic to my blog.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the
blogsphere?

Try to be original. Original posts always have a certain edge over the copied ones. It’s not a healthy practice to copy from other sites and E-mail forwards. Value each comment you receive. Respond to each and every comment.
Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

So far I have not earned much through my blog. I am learning about how to monetize a site from some of my friends. But personally I am not interested in getting revenue from blogging.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?
