Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

For around 15 years, I was part of writing technical documents as part of my role as a project delivery manager in the IT industry. But, this mind needed a break from such routine writings. With this intent, wished to write down about my feelings and attempted to create a bond with writers from the cyberspace. The result is this blog space.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog, your idea and how it can benefit others?

I am not too sure if it can benefit others, even though my blog is not an idealistic venture on any specific topic. The only exception being that I’ve tried my best not to sensationalize anything that I write. May be, I will never write on this space on my technical acumen from industry I serve since that is what I always cover during my activities in the professional life.

Other than that, from romance to affection, emotion to solar eclipse … I wish to cover whatever fascinates me from the life around me.

The idea is to communicate with the world around. Some of my observations may appear difficult from an entrepreneurial angle, but I wish to make observations and share it with readers around. They may be vague, but they need to relate to life … almost always.

Q. What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

‘Generally’ is a word that I don’t usually follow. There have been times when readers have appreciated the way I describe even the simplest incident of life. At other times, they seem to see me as a person who is full of witty sarcasm out to denounce the mightiest happening around.

I prefer to dabble with ideas, and mainly those that intrigue me. They may me mundane, or may be exciting, but my idea is to enliven the topic and let it be spread around.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I use blogspot, there’s no reason just that I find a lot of wonderful writers here. I’m sure there are wonderful writers in other platforms too … just that I didn’t get time to meet them yet.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

Usually around once every 8-10 days. However, one can’t make any rules, there have been times when I’ve been faster or slower based on how tied I was with other activities of life. Around 3 posts per month is my target, though I sometimes don’t achieve that.

At present, I have 12 posts covering around five month’s presence!

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I am member of a social networking site, ibibo.com, which gives me some readership. Besides, I keep reading and searching new writers on the web. My rule is to comment on any good piece that I come across. Mostly, the writers from those blog spaces reciprocate my visit and that increases readership.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the
blogsphere?

I’m younger than many of the younger ones in this blog space. There are no specific reasons to think that tips can be given to bloggers. There are hundred reasons why someone would wish to write. Mostly, bloggers are a shade different from what we are.

It would be nice if writers are sincere in their updates on their sites. An important suggestion could be to remain original and captivating always in the use of the content. That can bring a lot of readers.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

No, I don’t earn any revenue from this blog. I can’t predict the future, since there are reasons to believe that my kind of writing may not have too much of an advertising pleasure. But then, I am open to ideas … so in case someone writes to me with a way to monetize and it appeals to me, I may go for it.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?

There are many other blogs that I follow. Prominent among them are the ones that come under the heading ‘Blogs That Inspire’ in my page.
