Interview Round (Q&A):

Q.  What motivated you to start blogging?

Actually, I was into forums and wanted to create a body of my writing work: my short stories, poems, opinions, photographs, etc. That’s why I started blogging. Today I have 5 blogs: a main blog, a poetry blog, a short story blog, and a book reviews blog.

Q. What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

Generally anything related to writing, publishing, and related subjects. I also carry book reviews and reports about literary events. I also covered the 26/11 attack on Bombay live on my blog. Interestingly this consisted of 20 blogs in a period of 3 days which drew double the number of usual visitors to my blog.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I use blogspot. I am used to it, so I can’t complain.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

I blog almost daily. So the number of blog posts have crossed 1,100 mark. I am one of India’s earliest solo bloggers and am one of the earliest bloggers to cross the 1000 blog post mark.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I have linked my blog to both Twitter and Facebook. Soon as I write my post is online it is featured on my Twitter and Facebook pages and readers can click and read it on my main blog.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the  blogsphere?

It’s not too late to start your own blog. Actually the scope is very wide and you can have a diary of your thoughts, your passions online in a few seconds and read your thoughts at leisure and get the unique feel of being connected to people of similar pursuits around the world.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes, then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

I have tried to earn something through Adsense program, but the process is very slow and I haven’t been able to make any headway. So that’s not an option for me right now. Maybe, later when my blog is more popular.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?
