Interview (Q&A Round)

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

I started blogging as an online diary.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog, your idea and how it can benefit others?

While 36 and counting and karmickids are both personal blogs, indiahelps is a blog begun after 26/11. A blog started to put philanthropist in direct contact with the victims of 26/11 and hand hold these victims to a stage where they can stand on their own feet again.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I use wordpress and blogspot; for no particular reason.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

Almost everyday; haven’t really counted. I just completed 300 posts on 36 and counting.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I don’t use any tools. Karmickids and thirtysixandcounting are on labnol’s list of top Indian bloggers. I use Facebook and twitter to spread the word on India Helps posts. I think good content will get readership.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the blogsphere?

Have a focus for your blog. Create your unique voice. Be honest. Pay attention to grammar. Don’t use SMS-ese.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?

  • Twisted DNA
  • Great Bong
  • Mad Momma
  • Just a grail
  • Mama Says So
