Interview (Q&A Round):

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

From writing behind notebooks, to essay competition, to irritating long mails to close friends, I’ve come a long way on the road to endless writing and I love it! Back in 2006, people had just started putting up their thoughts on blogs and I saw it as a good way to let the world out there know what I was thinking, and perhaps find like-minded people.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog, your idea and how it can benefit others?

My blog is all about human emotions and personal experiences. I observe, absorb, feel for the cause and write about it; as simple as that. I always believed that writing was a powerful way to touch other people’s souls. Somewhere, there’s a person who felt exactly the same way that you did, once upon a time and a thread of connection is born.

Q. What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

Topics range from human emotions to social causes or just a random observation. I try to use only original photographs as I have a passion for photography. Sometimes, the reason for a post is a photograph. Sometimes, the reason for a photograph is a post.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I started with blogspot and hence I prefer to stay with it. It’s simple and user friendly.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

I try to update my blog on a bi-weekly basis. But there is no fixed rule. It had 93 posts at the moment.

Q. What tools do you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I generally drop a mail to friends telling them about the latest post. I use facebook a lot.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the
blogsphere?

Instead of contemplating, just start writing! I think I’ve grown in leaps and bounds and it had definitely helped me express myself better.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

No I do not earn revenue through my blog.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?

http://akshayz.blogspot.com/ , http://enigmaticexistence.blogspot.com/ , http://karunic.blogspot.com/ are some of my favourite blogs.
