“Sometime we are so much wrapped around I-me-and-myself that we close our eyes to everybody around us”

-Renu Rastogi

Renu RastogiWebneetech.com interviewed Renu Rastogi, a housewife and founder of “Anoobhooti,” the blog is all about her personal experience, incident, thought and views on life, social awareness, books, TV shows etc.

Renu who wanted to share her sweet experience of life with world says”When I started I didn’t know much about blogging. I used to send letters to Femina, Filmfare, woman’s era and society and a few newspapers too, if I felt something strongly about any article and many of my letters were published; few got prizes also. I always had very strong views about so many things, so my daughter asked me to start my own blog, where I could write what I want (though now I realize that it’s not hundred percent true). It’s a form of expression to me; a medium through which I can spread my thoughts.”

Interview (Q&A Round)

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

When I started I didn’t know much about blogging. It’s a form of expression to me; a medium through which I can spread my thoughts.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog, your idea and how it can benefit others?

I write about relationships since I have seen all the relations in many forms, been through everything. I can bring a different perspective to everybody. Sometime we are so much wrapped around I-me-and-myself that we close our eyes to everybody around us. I hope I am able to open those eyes . Secondly I don’t believe in today’s Mantra of limiting my family to husband , wife and kids, because I know how important the roots are for us.

I am a very environment friendly person and hate to waste anything..so may be , by writing again and again about this I can make more and more people aware of it and save the planet.

Whenever I travel or eat outside, I want to document everything. So that it can be of help to any future travelers or diners, plus I want my food blog to be a help to those who are new to cooking and want to make a simple, healthy and tasty meal. I am not much into complex dishes.

Q. What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

Mainly I cover topics that we deal with in daily life from family life to interests like TV shows and movies I watch, the books I read, the places I travel to, etc.

In families today I see many many divorces and lot of stress everywhere, so I try to bring out the reasons and situations responsible for this and thinking behind it, in the hope that they learn lesson and save their families

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I am using Blogger, as I was initiated into this and since I am comfortable. I never thought of using something else even though it has certain problems in uploading pictures; but to me it is ok.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

Thrice in two weeks and sometimes more, depends on my mood:)..presently it has 336 posts, initially I was not very regular.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

No, I don’t use anything except my writing, and my persona of an upright honest person to bring people. I am an avid reader and whenever I blog hop and find something to comment I do it. Some of those writers come here and if they like they stick….I prefer genuine readers and genuine comments, not the ones who have to write something.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the blog sphere?

Though I am not qualified to advise, but I will say that be honest in your post, be honest with your self and your comments anywhere and be polite…I myself don’t like writing from the perspective of readers and getting bouquets, I write what is in my heart and then whether I get brickbats or bouquets, both are welcome, as they increase my horizon and awareness.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

I have done the Adsense of Google, though I haven’t earned much. Once I want to commercialize, then I will start writing what sells, that wouldn’t be true to me

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?

I read many blogs and some of them have become my close friends also, so it wouldn’t be right to name only five and antagonize others :-)

    Renu,

    Congrats…a lovely interview!!!!!!

“Sometime we are so much wrapped around I-me-and-myself that we close our eyes to everybody around us.”
Oh yes agree with u on this…..its so easy to live our life and close our eyes and senses to the travails of others. To reach out to another is slowly dying from within our souls…..even our conscience doesnt prick us anymore.

Ur blog is a thinking bog and I love reading ur posts.
    Keep ‘em coming Renu!!!!!!
