“Just go for it. Don’t hold back. You have complete freedom. Be honest, be creative, be cool and try and be frequent.”

- Ajai Ravi Kesavan

Ajai Ravi KesavanAjai, a 24 years old entrepreneur launched his own blog “Aj’s Take” in April 2007. Ajay says “My blog- Aj’s Take is really just that. It’s my take on everything; I blog about any and every topic under the sun. It’s like my canvas… I try and paint whatever I want on it. I write fiction, politics, movie reviews, current affairs, my life chronicles. I don’t fix it to any one particular topic. I prefer it that way.

I think writing/blogging gives more clarity to your thoughts. You become clearer in your head when you jot down things. That’s the main reason why I blog.”

Webneetech got an opportunity to interview an all rounder like Ajai..Here we present the interview of Ajai,  he shared his journey as a businessman, trainer and a very interesting blogger.

Interview (Q&A Round):

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

A friend of mine was in to blogging. He said I should give it a shot and so I did. Now I’m hooked.:-)

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog? What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

My blog- “Aj’s Take” is really just that. It’s my take on everything. I blog about any and every topic under the sun.

That’s the main reason why I blog.

Q. Why reader should come on your blog…What is the best part of your blog?

You should come to my blog because it will make you very rich. : ) Jus Kiddin!

I think people will enjoy my blog because I have a whacky sense of humour. I am honest in my opinions and some times I make for good controversial reading. ;)

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I use blogspot. No particular reason for that. I just stick to Google so with one account I can access all things.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

I update my blog about once a week. Right now my blog’s has about 70 posts. I started writing frequently only this year. Was kind of the only New Year resolution that I actually followed! :-)

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I tweet about my posts. I ask some friends to refer my blog to others and it’s become quite popular that way. I generally browse through a lot of other blogs and have made quite a few friends here in blogosphere. That also attracts a lot of readers. I try and make sure my blog is easy to read. That’s about it. I don’t use social networks to improve my readership so I can’t really comment on that.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the blogsphere?

Just go for it. Don’t hold back. You have complete freedom. Be honest, be creative, be cool and try and be frequent.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

I have used Adsense in my blog but haven’t made too much from it. I think these are still early days for my blog. Over time I’m hoping I could sell banner space or something on my site. But that’s still a long way off.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?
