A foodie and an Artist blogger Nithya
Blog original content and pour out your experiences.
- Nithya
Nithya launched “Nitsarts“ and “4thsensesamayal” in March 2009; it was her passion of Arts and Crafts that made easy for her to start and run Nitsarts. You can find a variety of beautiful crafts and pictures with nice blog posts on the same and the blog “4thsensesamayal” is the inspiration of her mother’s instructions and her experiment in the kitchen, this blog includes write-ups on various food recipes which is been experimented by her specially south Indian dishes.
Nithya says” I just can’t stay idle. I always spent my holidays doing some crafty thing or the other. So one fine day when I had a lot of such cute and creative stuff piled up, this bulb on my head started to glow. Why not showcase them as a blog??? Yes… So Nits Arts and Crafts came to life. It’s to save my work as a scrap book for myself as well as inspire someone.. Why not??!! But the story of my food blog is on a different plot. I grew up and mom said I need to get responsible now. So she insisted me to learn to cook and copy her cook book too. So as an IT graduate I refused to make it all by pen. So was born my tried and tested cookery blog the fourth sense samayal. The name comes after the fourth human sense being taste. “
We enjoyed reading her blog and couldn’t stop ourself interviewing Nithya on her blogging experience.

Interview (Q&A Round):
Q. What motivated you to start blogging?
I just can’t stay idle. I always spent my holidays doing some crafty thing or the other. So one fine day when I had a lot of such cute and creative stuff piled up, this bulb on my head started to glow. Why not showcase them as a blog??? Yes… So Nits Arts and Crafts came to life. Its to save my work as a scrap book for myself as well as inspire someone..
Q. Tell us in detail about your blog? What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?
My art blog is beyond a simple topic and bound. I do what I like and post it there. It ranges from a simple mehandi, a paper art, vegetable carving, pencil drawings, kolam(rangoli) and so on. I post on things that I experiment and get self impressed with.
My cookery blog has more of South Indian dishes since I have been here in TamilNadu for years. But there are other cuisines that I have tried, tasted and tested too.
Q. Why reader should come on your blog…What is the best part of your blog?
Life is designed very artistically is what I believe. So people with a little aesthetic sense would surely enjoy going through my blog since there is a variety of art trials of mine under one roof.
And we live for food.. A foodie would surely enjoy going through the drool worthy pictures and recipes in my blog. The best part of my cookery blog is that, since I am a fresher into the kitchen, the recipes are very simple and meant for a novice to make.
Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?
I use BlogSpot. I admire and acknowledge the simplicity of Google products.
Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?
I update my blog once in two days. My art blog has around 35 posts with loads of pictures in it and my cookery blog has been updated with 143 interesting recipes.
Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?
I don’t use any tool to increase the readership. But orkut helps me to spread the news that “I have something to show you all”.
Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the
blogsphere?
Blog original content and pour out your experiences. If it’s an art site do put in some effort to write a tutorial on how you made it or just a link to your inspiration would help others. If you are into a culinary blog, do dress up your outcome well and present a picture for sure. Keep updating and enjoy what you do.
Q. What you like most about internet and why?
It has shrunk the world into a mouse click. Anything is accessible within moments. It has also given a lot of exposure to show the real me.
Q. What you hate most about internet and why?
Spammers!!! Why do that, when you really have lot of other interesting things to do???
Plagiarism! The worst of traits. Hope people realize the hard work put in by the original author and stop copying.
Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?
No. I haven’t earned revenue through my blog so far.
Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?
There are a lot of blogs that I follow lately. I enjoy reading each of them.
- Arti’s art – life as I see it (URL: http://artichauhan.blogspot.com/) – A very beautiful art collection that I always admire.
- Pencil sketching (URL: http://www.pencilsketchin.blogspot.com/) – A fantastic pencil drawing collection that I can’t stop looking at.
