Ashutosh“I always had these aberrant thoughts capering in my head; hence had been in touch with school magazines to let me promulgate my writings. With the expansion of internet services in India, blogging became a popular affair around 2007.It was in 2009 that I read a blog posted with the author’s short stories that broke my misconception that a blog is meant for techies, hobbies, travel and not for those who are willing to post something ‘unhappening’ . Before I started writing blogs, college magazines were the only way I could take my words to a hearing. And the college magazines too seemed a bit more interested towards anything other than my short stories. I needed a bit more mature readers. So I started blogging.” Says Ashutosh Singh, a 19 year old, B.Tech student.

Interview (Q&A Round):

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

I always had these aberrant thoughts capering in my head; hence had been in touch with school magazines to let me promulgate my writings. So I started blogging.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog? What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

Of the three blogs I write, two are posted as short stories and in the other one I try to recapitulate random blog stories on web in the form of poetry. Most of the writings are somehow encircled around the depth of human emotions and its psychology.

In this blog ‘Shouts of the silence…’ I try to put some silent, not much spoken of sides of experiences as a human being. The latest post descriptively delves into the untouched sides of the cases of child molestation. People tend to talk about the miseries and sufferings caused to a child by others, but forget that it is the child’s own caretakers who are feckless enough to advertise a platform to get their child ruined.

Q. Why reader should come on your blog…What is the best part of your blog?

Considering the amount of talent that these blog sites are hosting, an amateurish writer like me finds a bit difficult to generate an audience. Still, those who like to think deep, can read between the lines and are good criticizers should come to my blog.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

I’m using blogspot. No specific reason about it. As for now, still learning to make the blog ‘look’ more interesting.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

I should not be considered a frequent blogger because I have just one post published on the blog. I had been deleting the previous posts before posting something new, which I recently found out, is not a good idea.
Besides I have two other blog pages to take care of.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

According to me twitter has been quite helpful in increasing the blog readership. Orkut and Facebook communities of bloggers are also a perfect place to post your updated blog links.
You can find me on twitter @_AshutoshSingh

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the blogsphere?

I consider myself to be still an inexpert blogger. For new bloggers, I would suggest them to keep reading other blogs of the same field as they wish to write about. Joining twitter can be a noticeable help.

Thoughts are the consequence of tranquility that human mind craves for. And blogs are one of the best places to publish them in a renovated and prepossessing form.

Q. What you like most about internet and why?

Internet is really addicting. The best part about internet blogging is that you have readers who comment and criticize in the most authentic way. It has one of the most talented, interesting and innovative bunch of societies. And thanks to sites such as webneetech.com who dare to promote some unskilled bloggers like me.

Q. What you hate most about internet and why?

There is hardly anything that I hate about internet. The only effort to be done yet is to bring the happenings at internet and social networks to a real being. It should not be considered just as a platform to dump your inner turmoil. It’s true that after a certain point of addiction towards internet, users tend to lose their actual social life. But then again, this is just a beginning; the best is yet to come.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

No, I do not earn any revenue from my blog. But there is a ‘monetize’ option in blogspot for those who wish to.

Q. What are your other favorite blogs which you follow, can you list the top 5 such blogs?

I read every blog link I come across. Read my blog info for the blogs I follow. Reach over to http://apoyandostrikesagain.blogspot.com/ to get linked to some touching blogs I found on the web.
