“Keep your blog updated always. Change your blog often, i.e. the header, pictures in the sidebar, blog background and colors.”

- Mary Tomaselli

mary“My blog is quite eclectic. I will write a piece on the current financial condition of my country or respond to a meme, such as Wordless Wednesday. I have a real special meme that draws a lot of people every Tuesday. It’s called RUBY TUESDAY and bloggers have to post something RED (using a photograph that they’ve taken themselves) and link back to my blog. I get about 100-120 people participating every week.” Says blogger Mary Tomaselli, an Adjunct professor by profession.

Mary started blogging with an intention to connect with people around the world and also wanted a platform where she can explore her photography skill …and born “Work of the Poet” in 2007, the blog is collection of photos, recreational memes and also sometimes she likes to write on political and cultural issue; as of now the blog holds around 1500 blog posts with 217 followers through Google connect.

Here is the interview with Mary on her blogging love.

Interview (Q&A Round):

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

I noticed something new on the ‘net – blogging and thought I’d give it a try. There was so much to do, so many people to meet, I just couldn’t stop once I started. And it gives me a place to show off my photos.

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog? What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

My blog is quite eclectic. I get about 100-120 people participating every week.

Q. Why readers should come on your blog…What is the best part of your blog?

The best thing about my blog is that it is quite diverse. There’s something new every day. It’s just plain interesting, if I say so myself.

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

Keep your blog updated always. Change your blog often, i.e. the header, pictures in the sidebar, blog background and colors.

Q. What you like most about internet and why?

Everything is there. There isn’t a question that can’t be answered by surfing the ‘net. You can shop on the Internet, saving time and energy.

Q. What you hate most about internet and why?

It’s quite addictive. I spend too much time on the Internet and I have a hard time pulling myself away from it.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

I have Adsense and I am an Amazon Associate but I don’t make any money at it.
