Madhuri Says “I started my blog with an intention to make it a humorous one because I felt rather than writing about current affairs (politically oriented) or celebrity affairs I would do a better job at writing humorous posts. And I wanted people to read my blog with a smile on their face, and not become pensive after reading a serious post or read about what they would already get to read in a regular magazine. And it helped that my friends always told me I have a great sense of humor  although yes, I have written depressing posts, shows that even jokers don’t have it all easy in their lives!!”

Q. What motivated you to start blogging?

I saw my batchmate writing on his blog and I thought it was rubbish. He challenged me to start my own blog. And then Mads Mad Mess was born!!

Q. Tell us in detail about your blog? What area or topic you generally cover in your blog, any special reason behind it?

I started my blog with an intention to make it a humorous one because I felt rather than writing about current affairs (politically oriented) or celebrity affairs I would do a better job at writing humorous posts. And I wanted people to read my blog with a smile on their face, and not become pensive after reading a serious post or read about what they would already get to read in a regular magazine. And it helped that my friends always told me I have a great sense of humor Although yes, I have written depressing posts. Shows that even jokers don’t have it all easy in their lives!!

Q. Why reader should come on your blog…What is the best part of your blog?

The humor and because most of my posts are written just for that smile on your face!!

Q. Which blogging platform you are using (wordpress, blogspot, bloggers etc), any reason about it?

Blogspot because I didn’t even know other platforms existed.

Q. How frequent you update your blog? How many post your blog is carrying at present?

97 posts. I update my blog once twice a month because of lack of free time due to my busy schedule.

Q. What tools you use to increase your blog readership and bring people on your blog? Do you use social networking sites?

I have put the link of my blog on my Facebook profile, but I really don’t do anything to publicize my blog. When I just started my blog, I started visiting other blogs and they reciprocated, and that’s how I got followers on my blog.

Q. Any specific tips you have for new bloggers who want to make it in the
blogsphere?

Keep writing posts straight from the heart, without bothering about negative comments or lack of comments. And the last thing you would want to do as a blogger is to pretend or fake what you aren’t in real life.

Q. Do you earn revenue through your blog? If yes then how a blogger should monetize his / her blog? If no, then any plans in future?

I tried adsense application because my sister asked me to use it. It didn’t make any sense to me so I didn’t bother much about it. A blogger can use that application and I know bloggers who do earn money. I personally do not want to use my blog for any monetary purpose in the future. It just does not feel right since my blog is like a doctor who works for free and cheers up people
